ah! that’s just bangers

We have to admit this has become one of our favorite bits of market research for one of our latest web design projects. It just wouldn’t be right if we didn’t sample some of Olhausen’s produce in a quest to get a better understanding of one of Ireland’s tastiest bangers that have been around since 1896. We’ve had some great crack already recounting some of the stories and listening to some of the more unorthodox recipes so far. So keep an eye out for the site when it goes live next month. IACT eMail Marketing Templates

I’m tired with how I carry out my email marketing!

Our client never really got to grips with the concept of email marketing until we explained how effective some email marketing campaigns can be. Having just completed a CMS based website for them we also designed two email templates that they could inform their database through. The first email template was for generic news updates with the second email template always signifying events. This enabled the client to judge which direction any email marketing should take.

Having bought into the recent success of the effects of mixing a Facebook campaign and an eCampaign they guys wanted evolve to design up a template for further email marketing campaigns so they could control the distribution of any future sends themselves. These would work with any future Facebook Apps we would build for them. The template was built in such a way that they could have a key post or selling feature along with multiple individual posts that could number from one upwards.

So how can an email template help me?

evolve were asked by our client about the benefits of email marketing and if it worked. When we looked at the elements we were designing/building for them in their foray into the digital world we felt it was like the final piece of the puzzle. We set about designing them two email templates to use. The first email template was for daily use and this would be their special for the day or their ‘Daily Madness’ discount and the second email template would be an exclusive that would be run within that month.

Each email template would carry the new refreshed identity and it would mirror the design, look and feel of the website. The intention was to enable Nolan’s upload the information to the website themselves then redirect people to the site from the email marketing campaigns they ran.

The Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers is a not-for-profit organisation having charitable status. The Association’s aims are to encourage and promote the study and practice of treasury management in Ireland.

I’m just so frustrated!!
Michele is the IACT’s administrator and secretary and in her own words she wanted ‘HELP’ to try and give her back control to manage the IACT’s website herself. Her main problem was having to go to two outside forces to administer certain elements of the site thus leaving her at their mercy and production times. This constantly meant any news she put up on the site was already at least a week old.

So how did evolve help Michele solve her problem?
We set about building a website that gave her full control over the content that she needed to update and during our analysis process we identified other valuable elements that made different tasks easier to manage.

One happy lady . . .
Once the process had been completed, Michele was now able to have full control over her daily workload and the beauty of it all was that it fit into the templates we designed . . . so the overall identity remained the solid foundation of the brand.

We recognised the importance of D’Arcy Lynch’s presence on the web and built a completely new website for Ciara and Vince. New additions to the website included a full Content Management System allowing our client to update sections of the website with ease. We also introduced a new ‘Blog’ section, which is essential to websites being built today. Ciara and Vince were delighted with the new look and functionality of the new D’Arcy Lynch website, allowing them to have more control over updating and maintaining the website.

So why did they need us?
Working through their advertising agency we were asked to create a suite of web banner adverts that would feature in all the main online newspaper publications.

Lifestyle Bootylicious

Let’s be honest we all know what has to be done to maintain a healthy lifestyle . . . It consists of the correct balance of exercise and eating correctly. Since 1982, Lifestyle Sports has been helping customers reach their fitness and sporting goals.

So we were delighted when we had to do a little workout of our own by creating all the artwork for the in-store displays in all their outlets. This consisted of backdrops, window decals, plinths, security shields, posters and various other formats of advertising. Tricky but rewarding when you see the finished display.


IACT Banners

Where else do you launch a new website to your members, but at your Annual Dinner. Each year the IACT meet for the annual get together where the current president gets to address his fellow members. After going through the difficult process of updating their identity (no easy task when you need to modernise a crest) the IACT wanted to show the members the new identity whilst also informing them of the new website.

The background colours were chosen to compliment the various other elements that have gone through a process of change. The simple design was chosen to create a backdrop that can be used for photographs while still allowing the new identity and web address to be visible.

AGI Barcelona 2011

The boys hit the beach in October!!

Apart from having to drag ourselves all the way over to Barcelona to 28 degree heat and then having to drag ourselves down for a swim in the Mediterranean Sea we did actually manage to get to the 2nd annual AGI Conference . . . and boy were we glad!! Out of the 27 speakers from the top eschelons of the design industry both Noel and myself can honestly say there were only two to three that didn’t meet our expectations!

Over the two days the people we were most impressed with were: Michael BierutChip KiddAngus HylandMarion Deuchars and Paula Scher who each in their own inevitable way showed us just how far and effectively you can take good design. I was a pleasure to listen to them speak and we can honestly say we left the sunny climate rejuvenated and full of gusto for the dark evenings ahead.
